To demonstrate that the Takoradi Declaration is intended to deliver tangible and measurable impact, ASK Summit 2027 will launch it first flagship implementation initiative—the proposed Yareyeya Dialysis & Renal Care Clinic in Ghana’s Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal District.

Located in one of Ghana’s most active artisanal mining regions, the proposed facility will provide critical kidney healthcare services to communities disproportionately affected by heavy metal exposure and limited access to specialised renal care. The project has been conceived as a lasting investment in community health and will serve as a model for similar interventions across mining-affected regions of Africa.
